TOURNAMENT RULES
 
Format of Tournament will be determined by # of teams registered.
Memorial Day and Red, White and Blue Class Tournaments are 10 teams
maximum. Three game tournaments are 8 teams maximum.
 
BAT SIZES, FIELDS AND PITCHING DISTANCES
 
The 13U, and 14U  Metal Division (7 inning game) will be playing on
regulation 90’ field with a 60’ pitching distance must use a -3 Metal bat.
Composite bats of metal or wood and Wood bats are also allowed.
 
The 15/16U, and 17U/18U Wood Division (7 inning game) will be playing on regulation 90’ field with a 60’ pitching distance must use a Wood bat.Composite Wood bats are allowed.
 
PITCHING
 
Pitching is under the direction and discretion of each team’s manager. One appearance per game per pitcher.
 
PLAYING RULES
 
1.SPORTSMANSHIP IS EXPECTED AT ALL TIMES.
 
2.Avoid contact applies in all divisions. A runner who fails to make a
reasonable attempt to avoid a collision with a defensive player shall be
called out. Any other runner advancing on the play shall be required to
return to the last base visited. In the event that an umpire determines that a collision was flagrant (i.e., attempting to bowl over the catcher when it is clear that he has the ball and is waiting to apply the tag...), he has the authority to eject the offending player from the game.
 
3.In the event of an ejection, that coach or player will be suspended for the following game or longer.
 
4.Divisions’ 13U-18U will play MLB rules with the exception of any
supplemental rules listed here.
 
5.Reentry rule applies: A starting player, who has been removed from the game, may be reinserted once under the following conditions:
 
A. The player must return to his original spot in the batting order. .
 
B. Only a starting player is eligible to be reinserted and he may only be
reinserted once per game.
 
9.Teams have the option of using a DH and up to two extra hitters (players)
according to the following rules and conditions:
(a) a team must have ten or more players prior to the start of the game.
(b) the Extra Hitter (EH) cannot be added after the start of the game;
(c) there is unlimited defensive substitution for players in lineup with the exception of DH.
 
10.The Manager is permitted to visit the mound a maximum of 3 visits
per game with the exception of a second visit in the same inning without
removing the pitcher. Any visit in excess of the allowed visits must be for the purposes of making a pitching change. A visit to the mound resulting from an injury is not to be considered as one of the allowable visits. A pitcher may not return to a game as a pitcher once removed.
 
11.Forfeiture will be awarded under the following circumstances:
(a). A team is not ready to play 20 minutes after the scheduled game
time. This rule can be waived by Tournament director due to extraordinary
circumstances.
(b) A team is unable to field at least 8 players throughout the entire game.
A team may play with eight players. When playing with eight players, the vacant slot in the batting order is an automatic out. If a ninth player arrives, he may be inserted into the game in the vacant slot and is considered a starting player.
(c). A team is unable to field the same number of players that they started the game with. Any injury to a player would not be cause for this rule. The injured player’s batting slot would become an automatic out.
(d) Any team that forfeits won’t be eligible for a playoff position.
 
12.There is a speedup rule with 2 outs for catcher.
 
13.In all games, with the exception of the championship, there is a 2:15
time limit, with no new inning starting after 2 hours. Any inning started must finish. The final score of the game at the end of last inning within time limit, regardless if official game, will be recorded. Tied games can play one extra inning if within the time limit; otherwise it would be recorded as a tie. Any championship games will play to completion unless mercy should occur.
 
14. There is a ten run mercy rule in the 13U-18U Divisions after 5 complete innings. Mercy goes to 8 runs at any time in the 7th inning. The inning does not have to be completed after the fifth inning for the mercy rule to apply.
 
15. Any rule discrepancy must be protested immediately with the umpire
and tournament director.

Best Record
Head to Head
Runs allowed
Runs scored
Like opponents
Director's Decision
 
17. BPM Tournaments can alter length of games and or # of games due
 to inclement weather to complete tournament. In the event of tournament cancellation, there is a $25 administrative fee before refund. Partial Refunds will be issued if teams don’t play guaranteed 3 of games due to weather.
